5 dogs and a tortoise

Dibley came to All Saints yesterday as we celebrated the annual Pet service.  Great fun and because it was so hot we gathered together in the shade under the yew trees which meant we were joined my more pets-hundreds of them, bugs and creepy crawleys everywhere.  At least the huge Alsatian didn’t eat the tortoise which made a bid for freedom down the church path.  Actually it could move faster than the poor CW who is still on crutches.

Most of the children present know more about cows, lambs, chickens and working farm dogs.  I can’t help feeling that pet services are a bit of an urban import.

Never mind! When we are being Dibley I know that we are being community and God smiles on us.
