Passion reading

Phew.  We are reading the passion tomorrow so there is no need for a sermon.

I will let the congregation sit for the gospel.  I remember as a child hating being a acolyte on Palm Sunday.  It was a very long time to stand when a candle was only an inch away from your fringe.  Holding the gospel high enough for the priest to see was a worse job though.

Parading around the outside of church to ‘All Glory Laud and honour’ in full choir robes was fun especially when you got back round to the church door only to find yourself a verse behind the organist.  Perhaps I should instigate it here.
