Just back from a marriage preparation day. This is the fourth year I have been running marriage preparation in this benefice. Today there were 5 couples attending. I am sure this is the right way to go and do prepartion in groups rather than individually. This way it is not so intimidating for couples and they can bounce ideas off each other. They seem to genuinely enjoy meeting other couples going through the same process. I think it is a great thing to do; to think about your marriage, especially when all the preparations for the wedding day take over. So today was all about giving each couple the space to talk about some of the more important things.
Of course we get to watch a bit of the vicar of Dibley and the wonderful G (amazing cook) produces an fantastic lunch for us.
My kids will be pleased when they see the left over pudding that we will have tonight. I keep telling G that brides tend to be on diets because they want to fit into their wedding dresses.
Oh dear 4.30pm and I now need to write sermons for tomorrow and ppt for family service.
Where did this week go? I must be having too much fun.
