Four churches and three schools means a lot of harvest services. All the harvest decorations, made St A’s and St M’s look and smell beautiful yesterday. I enjoyed roast lamb at St A’s village lunch, the vicar had jacket potatoes at St M’s. Today the first school came down to St M’s. Great excitement! Great singing! I love singing about broad beans in a blankety bed each year. The harvest rock and roll song was a new one to add to the repetoire. We got the kids to stand on the pews so that they could see over the boxed pews. Lots of clapping, lots of happy faces. Who says we have to be miserbale in church?
Now wondering what to do at non- church school harvest assembly with the parents there on Friday(service no. 5). How many times do you think I can slip the word God and thank you in? The great thing is, that now I have built up a relationship there, they don’t mind me mentioning Him.
